"The data at Pacific Grove High School supports the need for our friends at Wonder Woofs to continue visiting our school for years to come. Our drug related incidents at PGHS have decreased substantially since we began utilizing Sean’s well trained and professional safety dogs. What’s more is our students love Ranger, and now Red, when they come to the school. They know why they are there, to keep the campus drug free and safe; yet the social emotional benefit from these visits is the intangible aspect of the program. Thank you Sean and Janelle!"

"Prior to the pandemic and school closure, I learned that there was a program where a dog with therapy training would visit special education classrooms. When the school site allowed for visitation from Mr. Haggett, I collaborated with him on dates he is available to come and I set aside instructional time to have students focus on interaction with Mr. Haggett and 1 of 2 dogs he brings to the classroom. He owns 2 dogs: Ugi and Sapphire. The classroom mainly get visitation from Ugi the golden retriever.

The experience has been very positive and rewarding to the students, as the classroom team learn from Mr. Haggett how to work with Ugi, and the student gets to apply Mr. Haggett's teaching to Ugi. Ugi looks for students who are highly anxious and would approach the as anxious students. Students are prompted by the teacher to respond to Ugi by petting his body. Ugi is trained to sleep when he is in a constant state of petting by students. When students stop petting and wander off, Ugi would perceive the walking action as anxiety and would follow the children who walk off. Overall, students look forward to Ugi's visit every time he visits the classroom.

"In the fall of 2013, as part of a larger multifaceted approach to dealing with drugs and other contraband on our campus, Valley Christian Schools contracted Wonder Woofs to provide their services to detect and deter drugs and their use by students.

Sean and Wonder Woofs have always conducted themselves in a professional non-intrusive manner yet providing a valuable deterrent recognized by school administration, staff, and students towards creating a safe and drug free learning environment. Sean and his canines have been instrumental in detecting contraband in possession of students on campus. The canines' ability to detect contact tracing of contraband such as ammunition or drugs is hugely impressive!

Sean makes his dogs available to the students when they are not working, interacting with them during breaks and lunch whenever possible—fostering a positive and healthy relationship.

We highly recommend Wonder Woofs to anyone in need of these services."
